Nigel Sloam & Co is an independent London based firm of actuaries and consultants, established in 1979, with a strong focus on producing imaginative and effective solutions for an extraordinarily diverse clientele.
It offers a full range of services, actuarial, investment consulting, independent trusteeship and financial planning advice across the pension spectrum and in the assessment and quantification of future uncertain financial events.
It aims to ensure that our clients receive a full and comprehensive menu of information – so that they can make the best possible decisions. In a pensions context, ‘the NSS Solution’ is that pension planning must be integrated with financial planning for other assets and resources in the most tax efficient manner – and that good investment selection is a part of that process.
It provides holistic solutions to clients’ problems and aims to build friendly, relaxed and enduring relationships with clients, with a clear understanding of their needs and aspirations.
Nigel Sloam & Co provides pensions and related wealth management advice to entrepreneurs, directors, partners in professional firms, senior management and high net worth individuals in respect of themselves, their families and also their employees, where appropriate.
It has an investment team dedicated to designing and implementing appropriate strategies, which meet the requirements and risk profiles of both individuals and trustees.
A major area of expertise is on advising self-administered pension schemes of all descriptions - and their members - both in the UK and overseas. It is a UK market leader in advising on occupational Small Self Administered Pensions Schemes (SSASs) and Self Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs), where the members require maximum flexibility. Nigel Sloam was the first and is the current Chairman of the Association of Consulting Actuaries’ Committee on member directed pension schemes.
In addition, it advises employers and boards of trustees on how to manage staff pension schemes in the most optimal manner.
